The Abaco Islands, Bahamas
May 17- 24th, 2025
The following is our projected itinerary, and is subject to weather, wind, and the whims of the Captain and crew (that's you!)
We meet at the Conch Inn Marina for check- in at 5pm. We will anchor out that night at a nearby location, for dinner and sunset together on the boat.

Day 2:
A short morning sail over to Fowl Cay National Park, we will spend the morning on this little uninhabited with the rocky ocean reef on one side, and a perfect sandy beach on the other.
We will then sail North towards the more remote islands of the Abacos, landing at a small, quiet cove on Manjack Cay for the evening.

Day 3:
Swim, float, or dingy to shore from last night's anchorage, this cove is known for its rays and lemon sharks that swim right up to shore, hoping to be fed. The rays are particularly friendly, and you can pet them here. We will then sail over to the uninhabited island of Powell Cay for the rest of the afternoon and evening. There is plenty to explore here on both sides of this small island, and we will stay anchored here for the evening.
Day 4:
We will linger at Powell Cay for the morning, before heading back down towards Crab Cay. There are trails here to explore amongst the mangroves, and the shallow depth allows you to get a good view of the many sea turtles that live here. There is much to explore in this vibrant cove.

Day 5:
Early morning start, to sail down towards Man- O- War Cay, with an optional stop to swim with the pigs at No Name Cay. There is plenty to explore on Man- O- War Cay, a historic boat building village with superb beaches to explore on both sides of the island. We are able to anchor close to shore here, giving you the freedom to come and go as you wish.
Day 7:
Making the most of our last full day in Paradise, we head back up towards Marsh Harbor. We may choose to spend the day exploring another isle of the Pelican Cay Land and Sea Park or perhaps on a sand bar at Tahiti Beach, where you can swim right up to the floating beach bar, the Thirsty 'Cuda. We will anchor that evening just outside of Marsh Harbor, for one last fantastic sunset together and meal on the boat.
Day 8:
We head back in to the marina early, as check out time is 9am. Bon voyage!
Day 6:
We sail down towards Little Harbor today, stopping at the Pelican Cays Land and Sea Park for blissful snorkeling and swimming along the way. Little Harbor was founded as an artists settlement, and there is still a foundry and small gallery on site. The harbor is home to many sea turtles, and you may choose to paddle along the harbor exploring caves, or perhaps take a hike to the ruins of an abandoned lighthouse. We will dine out this evening at Pete's Pub, a sweet beach bar and restaurant with excellent food.

Who is this trip for?
This type of trip is best for adventurous spirits who want to see the world from a different perspective and travel in one of the most romantic ways possible. Although the inside of the boat is welcoming and has plenty of space, we spend the majority of the time outdoors. It is important to know that although our chartered boats are excellent, being on a sailboat still feels more akin to "glamping" than being in a fancy hotel. We refrain from using the generator and AC at night, so that we can hear the ocean and peacefully watch the stars. Although best thought of as a structure for adventure rather than a guided tour, we strive to understand and engage with the cultures we visit, rather than simply pass through as tourists.
Ferd and I feel that cooking on a boat is one of the most fun parts of being on a voyage, and we will take the lead for meals so that you can enjoy having no timeline for your vacation. However, we do ask that you submit one dish per cabin ahead of the voyage that you would enjoy making for the group, and we will make sure that you have those ingredients aboard the boat to make one lunch or dinner during our week together. That said, this is not a requirement, simply an invitation.
If that all sounds like you're kind of trip, then this voyage is for you! Again, if you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out.
